Ferrets that received two doses of a vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus produced neutralizing antibodies. According to researchers at the Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization at the University of Saskatchewan, a human study of this vaccine could take place as early as this coming fall. In addition, two other Canadian companies, Medicago and IMV, are also reporting positive results in animal trials of their vaccines, and they hope to begin human testing as early as this summer.
