"A single dose of a new RNA-based vaccine against SARS-CoV-2, the new coronavirus, succeeded in triggering an antibody and T-cell response in monkeys, in young mice and in older mice," researchers report in a paper recently published in the journal Science Translational Medicine. The researchers are monitoring the vaccinated monkeys and plan to expose them to the coronavirus again five or six months after vaccination. Their aim is to determine whether the effect of the vaccine lasts over time.
